As someone who rather fell in love with Mr. Salonen in his boyish conducting of the Sibelius symphonies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-h6OccTEr4&feature=related), and still found him dapper as late as 2008, this was rather a disturbing photo to find in a program. Perhaps he's trying to go for wise sage and leave the dashing looks to Dudamel? Oh well, at least none of these are as bad as the Barenboim pictures that strikingly resemble Mayor Daley...
